THE BROWNING PROCESS IS KNOWN AS THE MAILLARD REACTION AND THE DARK PIGMENT PRODUCED NOT ONLY ADDS RICH UMAMI (SAVOURY) FLAVOUR BUT ALSO IS A POWERFUL ANTIOXIDANT. Ground Grocer is a family-run organic grocery store with daily deliveries of lettuce, cucumber and seasonal vegetables from our farm in the Ecovillage and a team of local growers. Our bees are also working hard to keep us stocked with beautiful honey that we extract ourselves every few months. We aim for 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable packaging in store.
